NO LUCK FOR MUNNABHAI

"NO LUCK FOR MUNNABHAI" had been the Times of India Headlines on April 1st or for that matter the tag for previous day for news about Sanjay Dutt on CNN-IBN.

I really don't understand how the welleducated journalists used the word "luck" in this context as contesting in elections should never be one's luck. This is the unfortunate state of Indian Politics.

Munnabhai didnot get the privilege to contest the elections as he was sentenced to six years imprionment by the Mumbai anti terror court under the Arms Act in connection with 1993 Mumbai blasts and was disqualified from contesting the elections under the Section 8 (3) of the Representation of People Act,. and it is not that for no reason at all he was not allowed.

As per electoral laws, a person convicted for a criminal offence and sentenced to jail for more than two years is barred from running for elections.

But for people like me such debarrings is one of the pleasant news to hear.

FACING THE ELECTIONS-JAI HO!!!

Yesterday's CNN-IBN "FACING THE ELECTIONS" had thrown light upon the independent candidates contesting in the elections. The two most impressing candidates are "Ms.Mallika Sarabhai and Ms.Meera Sanyal".Ms. Meera Sanyal is currently the Country Head of ABN-Amro Bank.I feel really happy to see the women in such a position in India.I wish from the deep of my heart that these persons win the elections so that Indian politics can be redefined.Jai Ho to both of them.

FAREWELL PARTY AT MALANJKHAND

I was given three farewell parties at Malanjkhand...

My official farewell at the Chartola Club was really very emotional and it will remain as one of the most important events in my life especially the GM Bhatoa sir's speech in praise of me, is a real rejuvenating tonic whenever I feel sick and tired about life.Perseverance pays...

The other farewell party by my team was a picnic arranged exclusively for me in which I was gifted a watch. In a span of one year and nine months,I've been fortunate enough to go to three picnic spots along with my then team-One to mukhi on the outskirts of Kanha National Park, second one to Bharumdev which is yet another in Chhattisgarh border and the last one had been the place where a particular river originates(The river name exactly I don't remember).
The last farewell was at my office. It was an official one.All the three farewell parties will remain as pleasant memories.

MISSING MALANJKHAND

Malanjkhand always has a special place in my heart.Though I was the only girl at Malanjkhand as my dear Soma flies to her hometown quiet often,I was taken care of the most.I was treated special in many ways.I was taken care so that I don't feel alone. So 2 anyplace in the world I go,I find it hard 2 accomadate my place for Malanjkhand had been the place wherein people showered so much love, affection.I had laughed, cried, been happy and sad.
I really miss Malanjkhand from the core of my heart.

Police Verfication

If one is applying for passport/one needs to be confimed in a particular position in a PSU or in any Government office of India, then it is the usual procedure that Police will come to one's residence and ask him/her to come the next day with relevant documents or verify the documnets in the house itself if that particular person is available.

Similarly,as I'm in probation period,in order to confirm me my company had sent the form filled by me to my Police station. But to my utter dismay,I found that neither I'm given any proof that the head constable had verified my documents nor there is any register maintained in the reception of the Police station to record the persons and the purpose of the visit. And above all,the head constable had asked if I can give him a "BUNDLE OF PAPER" which I refused.

When so many things can go wrong when one is maintaing the records on a paper itself, such incidents in which there is no proof maintained in the Police station will leave a doubt in the candidate's mind whether the document will reach his/her office in time.

But,fortunately it has reached in time to my office.
